Blossom
February 14, 2010The drupe trees are very much in blossom. We still have no idea which blossom relates to which trees; come summer, when the trees have fruit on, we may have to sneak around the village and label the trees so that we can cross-reference next spring.
Right now from a distance the blossom is still indistinct, but up close the flowers are just beautiful.
Lovely blossom. Spring was rumoured to be on the way here too, at least it was yesterday – sun out, last patches of snow lower down thawing out. Now there’s about 2″ of snow on the ground, we can’t see the moor and it’s freezing!
Hope you’ve got the fire going and something warming for dinner. Fingers crossed that it starts to warm up soon!
